Ziyue Peng

Mr. Ziyue Peng (publishing as Daniel Ziyue Peng) is a Visiting Scholar at Heriot-Watt University under the supervision of Prof. Bert Blocken, and a third-year PhD Candidate at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) supervised by Prof. Tim K.T. Tse. He holds a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Sydney, Australia.

His research focuses on computational fluid dynamics (CFD), urban wind environments, wind tunnel testing, and data-driven wind engineering. He applies numerical and experimental methods to investigate urban ventilation, thermal conditions, and pollutant dispersion in urban settings.

He has published peer-reviewed journal papers in Buildings and Environment, Sustainable Cities and Society, and Physics of Fluids. His work has been recognized with several honors, including the HKUST Global Research Award, the HKUST RedBird PhD Award, and an Editor’s Pick distinction in Physics of Fluids.
