Open Call for Joint Workshop Proposals
We are pleased to announce a new opportunity to engage with the GREENIN Network Plus through our open call for jointly organised one-day workshops focusing on Green Indoor Infrastructure (IGI) and healthier, more sustainable indoor environments.
Workshops should provide a platform for researchers, industry, policymakers and practitioners to exchange knowledge, discuss challenges, showcase innovative approaches and share best practice. Proposed workshops may focus on any aspect of Green Indoor Infrastructure, including planning, design, implementation, operation, monitoring or real-world applications.
The objectives of the GREENIN Network Plus workshops are to provide opportunities for network members to (1) foster interdisciplinary collaboration, (2) strengthen knowledge exchange between academia, industry, government and other stakeholders, (3) showcase innovative research and practical solutions in Green Indoor Infrastructure, and (4) build new partnerships and identify future research and funding opportunities.
GREENIN will support a series of one-day workshops through this open call. Funding of up to £2,000 is available for each successful proposal to contribute towards eligible organisational costs.
The workshop call is open to GREENIN Network Plus members based in the UK. Joint applications involving multiple organisations and different disciplines are strongly encouraged. Workshops that actively engage industry, public sector organisations, policymakers, charities and community partners are particularly welcomed. Applicants should clearly describe the proposed workshop theme, objectives, expected outcomes, and how the workshop will promote interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Workshop dates and arrangements will be agreed with the GREENIN Management Team to avoid scheduling conflicts and maximise participation across the Network. Successful workshops will be promoted through GREENIN communication channels and should be open to the wider GREENIN community where appropriate.
Applications must be submitted via the online application form by 23:59 BST on Wednesday, 30 September 2026. Full details of the application process are provided below. For enquiries, please contact greeninmnp@surrey.ac.uk.
Applications will be assessed against the published assessment criteria, including alignment with the aims of GREENIN, interdisciplinary collaboration, knowledge exchange, feasibility, anticipated impact and value for money. Successful applicants will be notified following completion of the review process.
We look forward to receiving your proposal and welcoming you to contribute to the GREENIN Network Plus community. If you are not yet a GREENIN member, we encourage you to complete the new membership form to receive updates on future funding opportunities, events and activities.
Best wishes,
Professor Prashant Kumar
GREENIN Network Plus Director
